| Origin
and Growth of the Institution |
| A great son of the soil popularly known as Tak Zainagiri constituted and established first ever voluntary organization J&K Yateem Trust in his native village Hardushiva Zainagir. Zainagir is at a distance of ten kilometers from Apple town Sopore. It was in the year 1972 that the Trust was shifted from Zainagir to Srinagar and it emerged as a state-wide Trust although with very meager resources. Late Tak Zainagiri gained great public respect and support in acknowledgment of his social service that he did selflessly for the downtrodden communities especially for orphans and widows. |
