Here he learnt
about J&K Yateem Trust. He contacted Mr. Z.A.Tak,
the Patron of the Trust and obtained all the
information about the activities of the Trust. He
visited the orphanages, offices and craft centers
of the Trust. He was impressed to see the credible
work performed by the Trust. On his return to
Austria he motivated his friends to work for the
J&K Yateem Trust. These friends and others Dr.
Johanna Preinstorfer, Ing. Arnold Brunner, Mag.
Douglas O'Donell, Mrs Azra Shonthoo, Karlheinz
Eder, Michael Frauscher, Dagmar Pesendorfer
readily agreed and for this purpose established
Austian Kashmir Social Project which is a
registered Trust there. The AKSP majorly financed
the Banat Complex (orphanage and school).
It also raised funds for sponsorship a good number
of orphanages in their homes. Unfortunately Arshid
Shonthoo lost his life in a tragic accident
leaving behind his young widow Mrs Azra Shonthoo
two minor children who are all now carrying
forward the mission of Arshid Shonthoo. We pay
homage to Late Arshid Shonthoo and also extend
warmest thanks to Austian Kashmir Social Project
and its generous members for having fulfilled our
dream project Banat Complex and sponsorship of
girls. We hope they will continue to help us in
future in the interest of humanity.
Muslim Aid, Muslim Charity, Action Aid
and Save the Children are some other
NGO's which helps the Trust.
